About Us
Elise Abrams began collecting antique porcelain and stemware over 30
years ago and has become the recognized expert in the field. Her passion
for creating magnificent table settings coupled with her incomparable
collections, culminated in the establishment of Elise Abrams Antiques in
Great Barrington, Massachusetts in 1989.
Since the opening of her gallery, Elise has developed a discerning and loyal clientele. Described by Boston Magazine as "a world class collection of museum-quality antiques for the dining room", her gallery is world-renowned as the source and resource of the largest collection of sets of antique porcelain and stemware in the country.
Open the door to the magnificent showroom—unique in the world of
antiques—and immediately you will see that Elise has a rare gift: an
unerring eye for color, design, arrangement and quality which she
generously enjoys sharing. Above all, she loves what she does. Her
extensive knowledge and personal attention, along with her contagious
enthusiasm, make you feel right at home.
There are endless combinations from which different moods and settings can be created—from sophisticated country to the elegance of the Gilded Age. By emphasizing color themes, patterns and shapes, Elise will expertly guide the decorator, novice and the most experienced collector to express their individuality and creativity. She will also show you how to complement and blend antique china and design a one of a kind table setting by combining antique elements with a modern sensibility.
Nowhere will you find such an array of color, style, and choice among
all the great porcelain manufacturers of the world. Her collection
emphasizes the Gilded Age period of 1880-1920 featuring Minton,
Coalport, Royal Worcester, Royal Doulton, Spode, Wedgwood, Lenox,
Sevres, Paris and Meissen. Complementing her antique porcelains, is an
extraordinary selection of stemware including sets manufactured by
Hawkes, Tiffany, Moser, Pairpoint, Baccarat, St. Louis, Webb, Steuben,
Moser and Val St. Lambert among others, as well as fantasy sets made in
Venice.
Elise Abrams Antiques also offers an impressive selection of antique accessories, including decanters, silver, serving pieces, centerpieces, candlesticks and punchbowls of timeless beauty.
