Salviati, Complete Venetian Hand Blown Cobalt Blue Table Service

This extraordinary Salviati centerpiece set is hand blown Venetian glass with hand painted enamel decoration. The custom ordered service is embellished with 18th century-style figures, courtiers, carriages and horses surrounding the borders of each piece in a masterful technique with great detail. The rich cobalt blue provides a strong contrast to the vibrant enamels and exceptional detailed painting. The service consists of the centerpiece, which measures 10 3/4" tall and 11.5" in diameter and 4 matching candlesticks with detachable bobeches which measure 14 1/8" tall. There are two tall compotes which measure 7 3/4" tall and 5 3/4" in diameter, 4 small rectangular bud vases (3 1/4" tall and 2 5/8" wide) and 2 small low compotes (2 3/4" tall and 6 1/8" in diameter). The 12 matching chargers are 10 5/8" in diameter. ca. 1900
