We were so pleased and excited to participate in the recent Berkshire Designer Showcase at Ventfort Hall, Lenox’s Gilded Age Museum. The local landmark, originally built by George and Sarah Morgan, the sister of legendary financier J. Pierpont Morgan in 1893, has undergone an amazing transformation over the last decade, as the Ventfort Hall Association has worked tirelessly on its restoration. Nearly demolished in the 1980’s by a nursing home developer, the Association was formed in response and was able to purchase the property with the help of private donors and loans, and a five-year loan from the National Trust for Historic Preservation. To furnish the newly completed second floor, the association worked with 14 Berkshire based designers to create unique spaces that complement each room.
We are also excited about the recent publication The Punch Bowl, written by Dan Searing and featuring many wonderful pieces from our collection alongside
75 irresistible punch recipes: 50 vintage classics and 25 from today's most accomplished bartenders. This great resource also recounts the centuries-old history of punch.
It was a wonderful experience working with Laurie Dolphin and photographer, Stuart Shapiro, and very rewarding to see such a great finished product. The book is available at our gallery.
