Set of 12 Wedgwood "Picture Card" plates designed by the American illustrator Augustus L. Jansson (1866-1931) for Wedgwood in 1909. Each plate has a whismsical/humorous poem relating to the unique plate. Blue and white Florentine-style border frames the interior engraving, boldly painted in vibrant thick enamels. Each shaped rim plate bears the artist's monogram. Delightful conversation pieces, perfect service plates for the card lover and they create a wonderful display!
